Bright & Merry Holiday Party {Another Happy Customer}

These pictures were submitted by the wonderful Holly at Paisley Petals Events. This is actually the second time I have had the honor of working with her, she is an absolute delight and extremely talented! She designed this party for her daughter and her friends to come over and decorate graham cracker gingerbread houses. Using our Holiday Sweet party Collection she created one stunning party. Let’s Play Ball

Wow, what a month! I can’t believe it has been nearly 3 weeks since I have posted. Custom orders and my Niece’s 1st Birthday have kept me super busy these past couple of weeks (plus the kiddies and the hubby and the day job).

Last weekend was my sweet little Niece’s party and it was amazing. My sister-in-law did a fabulous job with everything and I can’t wait to share all the pictures. I am working hard at editing them and getting the Chocolate Factory listing up in the shop.

At the party a friend ask if I had any ideas for her son’s baseball themed first birthday party, of coarse I do! She really liked the customized banner and food labels so we came up with this.

The baseball themed banner will be available at the end of next week along with 4 other new party designs!

Barbie Doll Inspired Birthday Party Theme

I have been fairly busy with custom orders lately and I can’t wait to share all of them.
First up is an adorable Barbie Inspired Birthday theme that I created for a wonderful friend. Her daughter is turning 5 at the end of the month and she is having the local bakery make her the traditional “Barbie in a Cake”.

Barbie and I go way back (well, not that far back since I believe I played with Barbie’s until I was 12…maybe 13). I started with a version of the Barbie face silhouette and added items from there. Originally I was thinking the traditional pink and black, but since it’s spring time my friend suggested adding yellow and other bright colors. Here are some of the items, I am so happy with how it turned out.
The Barbie theme will be available mid April 2011 (right after I finish up the Chocolate Factory theme). However, if you are interested in your own Barbie theme party before then contact me and I can set up a custom listing for you in Etsy.
Thanks for visiting!

Willy Wonka Inspiration: Chocolate Factory Birthday Theme

My favorite sister-in-law and I will be working our little booties off creating an adorable party centered around Charlie & The Chocolate Factory for my Niece’s First Birthday. From the moment she told me her theme idea the wheels started turning; chocolate fountains, candy, Oompa-Loompas’ and a whole lot of other chocolaty goodness!
Here’s a little sneak peak at the invites I created.
This invitation and other Chocolate Factory Themed Birthday Party Printables will be available in my Etsy Shop sometime Mid April 2011. If you are interested in your own Chocolate Factory Printables before then please contact me.
Thanks for visiting my blog and good luck creating your own wonderful parties!

Please Mind the Gap

Anyone who has traveled the London Underground is well aware of the “Mind the Gap” sign and public address as you enter the station platform.  I thought it would be well suited right about here since I’m in the midst of……something…..I’m not sure what to call it.  I don’t even know how to fully describe it, but I’m going to run with it for a while.

In my previous post labeled “My New Years Resolution” I listed a few things I would like to accomplish this year. I started on #1 and was doing great, then my best friend (lets just call her Barbie) informed me she was joining a gym and getting a trainer. Now what kind of friend would I be if I let her do this on her own? (Plus the thought of standing next to “fitness Barbie” this summer – ummm yeah, I’ll join with you!). Over a month later, I am down 10 pounds  – halfway there baby!

This is where my “gap” comes in.  I am working my “real job”, taking care of my house and family, driving the big-little one to school, traveling most weekends with the kids, and exercising 5 days a week.  Plus I still try to plan play dates, have a date night every now and then, talk to my girl friends and work on custom orders. Phew.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I can’t do it all - right now - all at the same time.  From the moment I found out I was preggo (just over 4 years ago), I gave up everything and gave my kids every single ounce of me. My little one will be 2 this June and I feel it is time for me to do something for myself.

Call it a Pre-30-Awakening or a Mini-Mommy Melt Down, whatever it is I am going through, I like it.  I have turned a new page and realized I still need “me” time.

Please mind the gaps in my posting while I work on me.  I am still here, I still LOVE creating party printables and I will continue to post new ideas and parties as they come. I just believe I need to get myself together before I start trying to get this company off the ground.

Here’s to achieving all of your goals this year!
